Nearly all Las Vegas casinos of any significance spread three Card Poker. The minimum bets range from $2 at Joker’s Wild to $15 at Aria. Players will need double the Ante bet to play, meaning that the true minimum bet is double the posted amount. This does not include the Pair Plus side bet, which may be bet by itself without an accompanying Ante wager.

The game’s appeal is its simplicity. While it has a small element of skill, it is easy to learn. The house edge is reasonable to most players. It is typically a friendly crowd at the tables.

How to Play Three Card Poker

Three Card Poker is one of the simplest table games in Las Vegas to learn. There is only one rule related to skill to understand.

#1: Place Your Bets – There are two bets on most Three Card Poker tables. One is the Ante. The other is Pair Plus. Players may bet on one of these or both. Unlike most poker table games, there is no obligation to bet the Ante.

Re: 3-card poker bonus at Harrahs. That would be terrible if I got that and wasn't playing the bonus. I once got dealt a 3 card straight flush on let it ride and wasn't playing the 3 card bonus bet which would have paid 40 to 1. I was kicking myself for a couple of days. THREE CARD POKER PRIME In the Prime side bet, you’re wagering that all three cards in your hand, or all six cards in your hand plus the dealer’s hand, will be the same color. As with other side bets, this is optional. You can play Pair Plus or ante-play without making the Prime bet. There are different ways to win. Best blackjack app 2020. If your 3 cards include a pair or even 3 of a kind you win under Pair Bonus. If your cards are all red or all black you win 3 to 1 odds under Prime Wager. If theirs are 3 cards of the same colour too, this increases to 4 to 1 odds. In the Ante Wager, you’re dealt 4 cards, 3 are used to beat the dealer’s hand.

#2: Raise or Fold – Players and the dealer are dealt three cards face down. Players look at their three cards and decide whether to raise. If the player has queen-six-four or higher, the player should raise. The Raise bet is equal to the amount of the Ante. If the player does not raise, he folds. The dealer then looks at the house hand and compares it to each player.

  • If the dealer beats the player, the Raise loses.
  • The Ante loses if the player has less than a straight, keeping in mind that a straight ranks higher than a flush in Three Card Poker.
  • Antes push if the dealer does not make at least queen-high.

Flush or Higher Payouts

If the player makes a flush or higher, the Ante is paid based on the following chart, regardless of whether the player wins or loses:

My local casinos has opened a new game. It is a 3 card poker variant called 3 Card Prime with a Loose Deuce. Instead of a pairs plus bet it has a Pairs Bonus bet along with an Ante and Play bet. There are side bets for Prime and All 6. The dealer qualifies with a Q or the ante bet pushes and the play bet wins. Player wins ties.
The pay table for the play bet is (all are to 1): Mini Royal 10, Straight Flush 6, Trips 5, Straight 2, Flush or less 1. There is also a bad beat that pays Straight Flush 12, Trips 10 Straight 4.
The Pair Bonus bet pays: Mini Royal 50, Straight Flush 40, Trips 30, Straight 6, Flush 3, Pair 1. When the game starts the dealer deals out a single card face down. If this card turns out to be a deuce then the Pair Bonus pay table changes to: Mini Royal 75, Straight Flush 50, Trips 40, Straight 8, Flush 4 and Pair 2.
The pay table for the All 6 bet is: Royal 1000, Straight Flush 200, Quads 50, Full House 25, Flush 15, Straight 10 and Trips 5.
The prime bet pay table is: Players cards all the same color 3 to 1, all 6 cards the same color 4 to 1.
Other then dealing the first card face down the game is dealt the same as 3 card poker.
Is this game in any Vegas casinos? What is the optimal strategy for this game? What is the house edge on the prime bet and what are the odds of getting 3 or 6 cards the same color?
Some answers:
1. The Prime bet has a 21.27% chance of the player getting a three-card one-color to pay 3:1, and a 2.26% chance of getting a one-color hand with a dealer match of that color, to pay 4:1. It's a popular bet because it doesn't correlate to a player's win or loss: a player may have a bust hand j-9-2 'red', and recoup, or a straight flush, and add to his winnings. House edge is 3.62%.

2. The loose deuce was an idea to provide a little more excitement and anticipation on the pair plus bet with a bonus card multiplier that doesn't cost the house too much. Card
3. Player wins ties was added as a player feature because it was so inexpensive to offer to the player that to deny it would have been cheap, and it is also a plus over the competition that doesn't offer it. Galaxy adds this player wins ties to any game/many games where it is a reasonable bonus to the player.

4. The Bad Beat feature is automatically included on the man bets for free; lose with a straight or better and you recoup your losses from a rare bad beat. Nice feature, and it's on other Galaxy Games, too (Heads Up Hold 'em, Four Card Frenzy, etc.)
I haven't seen it in Vegas, but hope to.

Thank you for the answers. My local casino is owned by Penn National so maybe the Tropicana or M will be the first Vegas spots for this game.
